Stewardship is an ethic that embodies the responsible planning and management of resources. (Wikipedia)
Stewardship is the conducting, supervising, or managing of something; especially : the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one's care. (Mirriam-Webster)
As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as
good stewards of God's varied grace. (1 Pt 4:10)
All the members of our parish are invited and encouraged to share their time and talent with our parish family. There are opportunities in every area of parish life--worship, education, Christian service, stewardship, Sacred Heart Catholic School, and others--to contribute the gifts and talents that God has given you.
Review the Parish Life and Ministry Opportunities 2016 folder carefully and then return the Sign-Up sheet to the parish office. While our main appeal for time and talent takes place each August, you are welcome to express your interest in being of service at any time during the year. As programs and ministries begin and training is offered, you will be contacted and invited to participate.
If you need assistance or more information at any time, please feel free to contact the parish office. God bless you for your willingness to share your gifts and talents with your Sacred Heart Parish family. We thank you for the good stewardship you excercise at Sacred Heart and for your commitment to our community.
In a number of parish ministries and programs, compliance with the safe environment requirements of the Archdiocese of Detroit is necessary, including a criminal history background check and participation in a Protecting God's Children workshop.
You will find here the Authorization Form For A Criminal History Background Check. To register for a Protecting God's Children Workshop, visit the website of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
