Academic Olympics: This program is for the middle school students. Students work in small groups focusing on one subject area. Students compete at a regional level once a year.
All School Liturgy: Each week we come together as a Sacred Heart Community to celebrate Mass together. Students in grades 2-8th take turns planning the liturgies.
Art Enrichment: As part of the Sacred Heart Fine Arts program: Sacred Heart is proud to offer an art enrichment program from students in grades 3-8th grade. Students explore and create a variety of projects using various art techniques. This program meets once a week and is showcased at the Sacred Heart Fine Arts Night twice a year.
Boy Scouts: Sacred Heart is proud to have the largest, most active Boy Scout troop in the area. Some of the highlights include Pinewood Derby, camping, and the Regatta races.
Career Day: Every other year, Sacred Heart middle school students have the opportunity to explore a variety of different careers which support a program middle school do every year called career exploration. It provides a beginning of investigating possible career goals and choices for each student.
Catholic Schools Week: Sacred Heart is proud to be a Catholic school. Each year the last week in January Sacred Heart joins all Catholic schools nationally to celebrate our faith and our community with various special, fun faith filled activities.
Chess Club: Sacred Heart has its very own Chess Wizards Club from students in K-8th grade where students learn strategies for life. The Chess Wizard Club meets once a week. Each chess club member is challenged by fun games and lessons from real Wizard teachers.
Children's Choir: The Children's Choir is designed to encourage children to share their love of music with others. The purpose is use the gifts God has given His people to enhance the learning and the spiritual growth of the school and church community. The Children's Choir sings at all school masses and special church events. The ability to express one's feelings through music is truly a gift. In the Children's Choir they strive to make this expression possible.
CYO: Sacred Heart CYO is so big, they need their own website to tell you all about their programs. We are proud that Sacred Heart has no cuts allowing all of our students to gain experience in a variety of different sports. Drama Club: Students have fun learning the art of performing on stage.
Girl Scouts: Sacred Heart Catholic school is proud to offer Girl Scouts starting with Daisies in kindergarten. Girls meet regularly and do lots of fun activities and field trips making memories that will last a life time.
Green Team: Sacred Heart is proud to have students be a part of the green team who recycle to help lead and support the efforts of being a green school. Each week the team recycles papers.
Junior Ambassadors: Two middle school students who show responsibility and leadership are chosen to represent Sacred Heart throughout the community in partnership with the city of Dearborn City Beautiful Commission.
Lego Club: Students in grades 2-4th can test their engineering, and design skills each month as Lego club members build different types of structures based on a theme. This great program also teaches problem solving and team work!
Red Ribbon Week: Each year in October, Sacred Heart Catholic School community takes a pledge to be drug free and to make good choices for themselves. Throughout the week special activities are planned to support a healthy life style reflecting our Catholic values.

Student Council: In order to promote leadership skills and provide experience with the democratic process of self-government, a student council has been established. Scholastic and conduct standards for officers and representatives have been determined. Each homeroom in grades 6-8th elects two representatives per class. Officers (president, vice-president, secretary, treasure and historian) are then elected from the group of representatives. The Student Council plans and directs non-academic activities for the school. These plans are then submitted to the administration for approval. The Student Council meets regularly during the school year. Faculty members serve as moderators for the Council.
Talent Show: Students in grades K-8th are invited to participate in this variety show usually performed in May. Entertainment includes comedy sketches, instrumental and dance performances, lip sync, magic and gymnastic talents. Parents and school staff are also invited to participate in this annual event. Screening sessions are held prior to the performance date to ensure that each act is within time limits as well as for other practical concerns.
