On behalf of Sacred Heart Parish and School, I want to extend a warm welcome to all who have taken the time to inquire about our parish and school and to browse our website. I hope that you will find here information that is helpful to you whether you are looking for a parish community to join, an excellent Catholic school for your children, opportunities for worship or learning, parish services, or general information about the parish or the Catholic Church.
Sacred Heart Parish traces its beginning to 1836. Since then, it has had a significant history of faith and service as a parish community and school in the Archdiocese of Detroit. Reading through the long history of the parish, it becomes clear right away that, at this moment in time, those of us who call Sacred Heart our home are the fortunate beneficiaries of the dedication, commitment and hard work of countless good and faithful Catholic people who have come before us and handed down to us a great legacy of life and faith, education and service at Sacred Heart.
As pastor, I feel a great responsibility to the history of the parish, and to its present parishioners and friends, to continue the tradition and life that have gone on before us. As a parish community and a school we also look forward with hope and trust in the Lord to a future of worship, formation, education and service.
If you are a visitor to our website, perhaps you, too, will find a home at Sacred Heart for yourself, your family, and perhaps a place in our school for your children. In any case, you are always welcome at Sacred Heart. If you have any questions about Sacred Heart Parish and School, about the Catholic Church or the Catholic faith, please feel free to contact me or a member of the parish staff for information or assistance.
On behalf of our Parish and School family, I wish you peace and every blessing in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Sincerely,
Father Ken Chase
(Reverend) Kenneth M. Chase, Priest in Solidum
